Truly Imaginative

One of the best interactive games I have ever played. Me and my children are spending great time with this.

AMAZING!!!

This app is amazing! I could be in it ALL DAY!

Awesome stories

Most people here complain about paying for the other boxes but its totally worth it! The developers worked hard to created all this art and stories. And everyone needs to eat. They need their recognition for great work. 5 stars!

Beautiful and brilliant!

What the other reviews fail to realize is that it costs money and takes time to build something so beautiful and clever. Just for that reason alone, for the fact that this app is so beautifully crafted and well thought out I bought all the stories. It was totally worth it too, they only get better and better and I am so happy to support such talent!

Nope

You have to pay to unlock locked boxes and I cant find the art icon in Tuneless Serafin

That feelings.

This app is indeed interesting and intriguing, which I actually though to be boring at first. After reading a few pages I actually enjoyed it and finished a book without even knowing. The art is by far one of the best Ive seen and the story is good too. And to anyone who hates this app because you cant read 4th book and beyond, youre pretty much stupid. This is a form of business, and a artist like the one who made this app is indeed deserves sales compare to other games without any depth you payed for in the appstore.

The art work helps to paint a picture to go along with the story and its always something new to discover. I think I might just buy this!

Great Game!

This game is awesome! A great pastime for trips, but I cant get the wallpaper on Tuneless Serafin. Where is it? Someone tells me, and you get 5 stars.

Guardian of imagination

This will get kids reading! Beautifully done subject matter. All I can say is, more please!!!!!! ;)

Brilliant

This is my first review, but I believe that this app deserves a least one review. I love this game, each of the stories in the sample are well written, and Im planing on purchasing the entire set. Its defiantly worth the $3.

Stunning art

The combination of artwork, music, and storytelling is unparalleled by anything Ive seen so far

Great stories!

I started this app, not really understanding its description in the App Store, and was immediately sucked into the first story. Its early morning and I wanted to spend 10 minutes checking email and then going back to bed. Lol, off to bed now with a smile on my face. :)

Doesnt open! And charges $$!

Cant find in the App Store unless I link from another source. Ripoff!!!! Big time!!

Something Adults and Children Can find Solace In

+FIRST ALLOW ME TO STATE THAT THERE ARE NO IN-APP PURCHASES. The company made an update to this app where you just pay the one time fee (for downloading) and everything is open to you…you just have to find the features in-game+ So is this a children’s story app or a mature app? That was the first question that came to mind for me in trying to decide whether to get this app. And you know what? It’s both. The company makes no secret that this is an app meant to nurture the vibrant world a child sees while reawakening the dormant imagination of many adults who, by the wear and tear of life, simply lose the magic. This app, is a labor of love and a gift (though paid) intended for everyone. Just to be clear, this app is meant to succeed their previous app, “Forgotten Colours”. “The Guardians” includes everything that that previous app had plus extras and bonuses. PLOT: This is, for all intents and purposes, is an interactive storybook. It includes 11 stories that are all distinct yet tied together, both in the thematic sense as well as the literal setting sense. You see, the introduction movie to the app is a story in of itself which explains to you why these stories are compiled, and why this whole app is called “The Guardian of Imagination” in the first place. Also, though the tales are fairytale in nature, it is not sugarcoated…which was something I found very surprising. Its sincerity in a magical world. GAMEPLAY/VISUALS: The game, again, is a storybook…but it features wonderfully beautiful art and illustrations that are unique in style per story…yet carry unified and consistent visual presence. In other words, they all feel like they are still form the same “book”. But the devs took it a step further, they made many of the illustrations interactive. You can play marbles, move things around, change the weather, etc. What’s more, the “bonus features” are hidden throughout the stories…so move things, tap things, whatever to find them. Bonuses include wallpapers, music soundtracks, mini-games, and character profile cards. In addition to this, to unlock each story, you have to find the key from the previous story. Seems like a hassle? Well, it actually is a significant and symbolic feature if you pay attention to the intro. Generally, most of these extras are not too difficult to find (some were hidden a bit better than others)…but the keys are fairly obvious, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble unlocking stories. MUSIC: simply put, it is fitting and wonderful…I’m loving the “Riley” and “Forgotten Colours" tracks especially! They even have the music synced so that it comes at the right times ^_^ TRANSLATION: Ok, this is comes from a company in Spain, so this must be addressed. I have read 5/12 stories and I can say that the English is quite clear, colloquial, and poetic at times. There was one or two minor grammar rubs, but definitely a huge improvement from what has been commented on about the predecessor app. I guess they had an editor look over the writing one more time and improve upon it. It feels legitimate (unlike other apps where I had to pretend that the grammar was ok). ISSUES: The only real issues I would say is that sometimes it took more than one swipe to change the page. Yes, I’m running it on the latest iOS and device. ALL IN ALL: A wonderful app that will be a delight to older children (7+) due to the beautiful illustrations, vibrancy of atmosphere, and fairytale-like qualities of the narratives. But to the adult, this will be a comfort and source of inspiration. Perhaps it may even be a catalyst for reawakening that long-lost-spark and ambition you once had in life. This is a perfect app that both parents and their children can truly share a moment together. One of the app’s stories puts it best, “Little by little, the world seemed to be recovering its color."
